Friendly accommodating service, we felt welcomed. They gave recommendations when we weren’t sure which labneh to buy. Excellent breads, sandwiches and pizza. Freshly baked and of high quality. We ate the bread and pizza faster than I could take the photos. Vibe - quaint, lovely small place, like a picture book. 😍 Definitely recommend.

The best bread in town! They run out pretty quickly so I suggest going early but that's how you know their bread is baked fresh daily. Anybody who has made bread before know how much time and effort it takes. The staff there are so genuine and lovely. Always a positive vibe walking in!
Cutest neighborhood bakery! This sourdough haven is a local gem, their heritage loaf is so delicious. Service is fantastic, if you go at the end of the day they sometimes throw in freebies. Will be back to try their pizzas and sandwiches for sure.

Get here early. We showed up at 10:07 and there was a line ahead of us. CASH OR DEBIT ONLY. Plenty of parking in the back. I didn't even get a chance to take pictures of our herb and cheese loaf, and tomato focaccia. Soft inner bread, nice crunchy crust. Please be ready to order, we were behind 2 girls who were literally asking about every product. There was a huge line up. Granted they bought stuff, but just be ready. Because of long lines, they don't cut bread. Sandwiches are great too after noon.
We bought sourdough and focaccia bread. It was delicious and very clean ingredients. They have small place to sit inside and some seating outside.
It has been a fantastic experience when we visited Baker House Bread this morning. The historic building gives a feel of country side cottage. The parking space at the back is actually pretty convenient. They open at 10:00 AM until it is sold out. So we went there pretty early and arrived at 10:30, we got the sesame ring, there is only one more left. We also got roasted Tomato focaccia. All their bread is hand crafted with organic flour. It tastes quite different, more moisture and chewy than other bakers. The service is so heart warm and make you feel so special. They have rotating menu for the three days they open. There is no honey walnut on Saturday. We will have to go on Thursdays in order to get it. It is a visit that will make you smile. We’d love to go back more often.
This bakery is iconic to Markham, and we tried their Honey Butter and Focaccia bread. Both were HUGE wins! The taste, texture, and smell left us wanting more - so we had to come back a few times afterwards in the summer to re-stock. Although this is not a dog-friendly location, you can still bring your doors to their grassy outdoor area while someone else in your party goes inside to grab the baked goods. Would definitely recommend for everyone to go try and fall in love as well. 💜
Amazing sourdough, always so fresh! I love the variety they have and I also love their location. It's in such a cute old home, it really sells the whole vibe. If you go on Saturday mornings right around opening @ 10 am, expect to wait in line for at least 20 mins. I went on a Friday @ 12 pm and still had to wait approxl. 15 mins. Always worth the wait though, since it's a really cute and interesting place, the staff always start handing out bread samples, and so the wait never feels that long. Their sourdough is so soft on the inside and so sour, I love it so much! I especially love their pizza. As for the foccacia, it's way too oily for my liking but always fresh and a really great texture on the inside. All their bread has amazing texture, so would definitely recommend trying out.
